Responsible Play
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Our competitions are meant to be fun. They involve paying to enter for the chance to win a prize, and most entries do not win. Please only spend what you can comfortably afford, and never enter to chase losses or to solve money worries. A free postal entry route is always available.
Our commitments
- 18+ only. We check date of birth at registration and ask for proof of age and identity before paying a prize.
- Ticket cap and per-person limit. Every competition has a maximum number of entries shown on its page (never more than 1,000 since 3 September 2026) and a per-person limit (currently 50) across paid and postal entries.
- Clear odds. Each competition shows how many entries have been made and the worst possible odds per entry.
- No credit, no targeting of under-18s. We only accept debit or credit card payment at the time of entry, we never offer credit or deferred payment, and our advertising is targeted at adults only.
Tools in your account
- Spend limits. Set a weekly and/or monthly limit in My Account. Lower limits apply straight away. Raising or removing a limit takes 24 hours, giving you time to reconsider.
- Take a break. Block entries from your account for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
- Self-exclusion. Block entries for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. Once started, a break or self-exclusion cannot be shortened. To close your account permanently, email support@theprize-lounge.co.uk.
How we look out for customers
Our team reviews account activity regularly. We get in touch if, for example, someone spends £100 or more in 30 days, reaches the per-person limit in several competitions, or changes their limits often. We may suggest a spend limit, signpost free support, or restrict an account where we are concerned. Every check is recorded.
Signs it might be time for a break
- Spending more than you planned, or more than you can afford
- Entering to win back money you have spent
- Borrowing money, or going without essentials, to enter
- Feeling anxious, guilty or secretive about entering
