Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10 October 2026
These terms apply to every competition run by The Prize Lounge. Each competition page also shows that competition's prize, entry price, maximum number of entries, per-person limit, odds and fixed closing date and time. Those details form part of these terms.
1. Promoter
The promoter is The Prize Lounge LTD, company number 17213753, registered office 40 New Road East, Portsmouth, PO2 7RS. Contact: support@theprize-lounge.co.uk. The London address used for free postal entries is a separate correspondence address.
2. Eligibility and age verification
Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. Employees of the promoter, their immediate families, agents and anyone professionally connected with a competition may not enter.
Every account must hold a date of birth. Registration is refused if the date of birth shows the person is under 18, and online entries are blocked until a date of birth is on file. Postal entries must include a date of birth and are rejected if the entrant is under 18. We may ask any entrant or winner for proof of age, identity and address. Entries from anyone found to be under 18 or otherwise ineligible are void, and no prize is awarded to them.
3. How to enter
You can enter online for the price shown on the competition page or free by post (see clause 4). Every entrant must correctly answer the competition's qualifying question, which tests knowledge, skill or judgement. Incorrect answers do not qualify and no entry number is issued.
Online entries are confirmed, and an entry number is allocated at random from the unused numbers up to the ticket cap, only after payment is confirmed by our payment provider, Stripe. Payment alone is not an entry until an entry number is issued.
4. Free entry route
A free postal route is available for every competition on equal terms. Full instructions are on our Free Entry Route page. Valid postal entries are added to the same entry register as paid entries and have exactly the same chance of winning.
5. Maximum entries, per-person limit and odds
- Ticket cap. Each competition has a fixed maximum number of entries, shown on its page (never more than 1,000 per competition for competitions opened since 3 September 2026). Once the cap is reached, no further entries are accepted by any route.
- Per-person limit. Each person may hold no more than the per-person limit shown on the competition page (currently 50 entries per competition), across paid and postal entries combined. Entries above the limit are rejected, and any payment taken for them is refunded.
- Odds. Each valid entry has an equal chance of winning. Your odds per entry are 1 in the total number of valid entries in the draw. Because of the cap, they are never worse than 1 in the maximum number of entries. The live entry count is shown on each competition page.
6. Competition period and fixed closing date
Each competition page states the fixed closing date and time (UK time). The closing date is not extended for any reason, and the draw takes place on the stated date whatever the number of entries. Online entry stops automatically at the closing time. Postal entries must be received before the closing time. Late entries are void.
7. The draw
After closing and payment settlement, all valid paid entries and accepted postal entries are collated into one entry register. The winner is selected from the register using a cryptographically secure, computer-generated random value, and the draw is streamed live. For each draw we keep an audit record of the number of paid and postal entries, the winning entry number, the draw time, the random reference and a fingerprint of the entry register.
Earlier draws. Draws held between 2 September and 7 October 2026 were run before our Draw Control Room was in use. For those draws, the winner was selected live on Instagram using the Comment Picker random selection tool, and the winning entry number was entered into our system afterwards. Their random reference is therefore a record label, not a computer-generated value, and their audit record does not include a value generated by us. The first draw, on 2 September 2026, had a ticket cap of 1,500. The 1,000 maximum in clause 5 has applied to every competition opened since 3 September 2026.
8. Winners and results
We contact the winner by email and phone within 24 hours of the draw. We make reasonable attempts for 14 days and may ask for proof of age, identity and address. If the winner is ineligible, cannot be verified or does not respond within 14 days, we may redraw from the remaining valid entries using the same method. The winner's first name, town, prize and winning entry number, and the draw record, are published on our Winners page within 24 hours of the winner being contacted. Wider publicity requires the winner's permission.
9. Prizes
The prize is described on each competition page. Cash prizes are paid in full by bank transfer to an account in the winner's name within 7 days of successful verification. They are awarded whatever the number of entries, with no minimum number of paid entries. Prizes are not transferable. Where a competition page states a cash alternative, the winner may choose that cash sum instead of the prize, paid by bank transfer to an account in the winner's name within 7 days of successful verification. Otherwise no alternative is offered, except where a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, in which case a prize or cash sum of equal or greater value is substituted.
10. Responsible play
Account holders can set weekly and monthly spend limits and take a break or self-exclude at any time from My Account. Lower limits apply immediately. Raising or removing a limit takes effect after 24 hours. A break or self-exclusion cannot be shortened once it has started. We may contact customers whose activity suggests they may be at risk of harm, and we may restrict or close accounts to protect them. See our Responsible Play policy.
11. Cancellation
Competitions are cancelled only where exceptional circumstances make lawful and fair administration impossible. If a competition is cancelled, every paid entrant receives a full refund.
12. Fraud and abuse
We may reject fraudulent, automated, duplicate, illegible, incomplete or non-compliant entries, and suspend the accounts involved.
13. Technical issues
We take reasonable steps to protect valid entries and to correct material errors. If a payment is taken but no entry number can be issued (for example because the cap was reached during payment), the payment is refunded in full.
14. Complaints
Email support@theprize-lounge.co.uk with the competition name and relevant details. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and to respond in full within 14 working days.
15. Data protection
We use personal data to run entries, age checks, draws, payments, prizes and responsible-play tools, as explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. We never see or store card details.
16. Changes and governing law
We change these terms only where necessary and not in a way that unfairly disadvantages entrants in a competition already open. Material changes are published clearly on this page. The law of England and Wales applies. Your statutory rights are not affected.
